Barlow & Wilcox, P.A. offers a high level of experience and knowledge in the areas of corporate and business law, tax law, estate planning, planning for beneficiary designations for qualified retirement accounts, guardianships and conservatorships, probate, trust administration, and commercial transactions and negotiations.

The firm represents a wide array of small businesses, as well as families and individuals with an aggregated combined net worth of at least $750 million or more.  As examples of the sophisticated nature of our work, the firm currently represents and continues to provide tax and other planning for:

  • Three very successful companies operating in the areas of real estate or high technology (nanotechnology), with national and international operations, and involved in joint ventures with multi-billion dollar US companies; and
  • Eight different families each with assets in excess of $50 million to $200 million.
  • Many, many other clients with estates from $1 million to $2 million to over $25 million.

We offer a free one hour consultation with prospective business, estate/financial, and/or commercial clients prior to undertaking any work.  For all matters, we will quote a fee for the work to be completed.

For estate and financial planning matters, the fee will include the basic estate planning documents and the funding of a revocable living trust (if used in the estate plan).

For other matters, the client usually determines whether our fees will be computed and billed either on an agreed-upon fee or on a time-expended basis in accordance with the hourly rates assigned to the particular attorneys and legal assistants performing the work.

All rates are subject to periodic adjustment and the applicable rates will be those in effect at the time services are rendered.
